43 Only the dealership can do it. I think it's the most annoying safety feature there is. I'd rather it just got stolen. The dealership has to reset the code and give you a new one.
u have to read through the owners manual and take the battery terminals off and the reattach after 20 or so minutes then replace and then turn the car on and put the code in again.
There is a code in the owners manual and it comes on a card the size of a credit card. It is a code that can only be used 5 times and then it automatically needs a new one. if you haven't used it more than 5 times then just enter in the code and it will unlock. If not, then take it to the dealership to get a new code.
Like the people before me said, its just a code. If you bought it used, there might be a code written on a sticker somewhere in the glove compartment. I have an S2000 and thats where mine was. My car gives you 9 tries to enter the right code before it locks up, at that point you have to disconnect the battery terminals for 60 seconds and try again. I didnt know you needed a new one after 5 times of use, but maybe its different in newer Hondas.
If you've lost the card, you can get the serial number of the radio by turning the radio off, then hold preset buttons 1 and 6 then turn the radio on, it will sayUXXXXLXXXXupper and lower, and 4 numbers give these to the dealership and they'll give you your code.

Well this will save you a trip to the dearly just disconnect your + hook up to the battery make your your car is off keep your wire off for 2 minutes then hook it back up start your car it should say enter code then put your code in once you find it This work on a Honda Civic 2011
Can't find your code here's a website https://radio-navicode.honda.com
2002 or newer you can get your code by simply following 3 steps by pushing a button pattern on your radio. http://torontohondaparts.com/RadioCodeRetrieval.aspx?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1
Once you get the code from the radio go to: this website honda owners website look for tab retrieve radio/nav select that link, enter the info such as VIN and radio device serial number and phone number and email address.
The website address https://radio-navicode.honda.com,Then enter VIN and radio device serial number plus email address and phone number, then you will get the code immediately.
Turn car on. Turn radio off. Press # 1 and 9 (not 6, as in above answer). Turn power on and serial number of device should come up.
P.S. Then call a dealer for code!
Actually there is no need to call dealer for the code just go to this website https://radio-navicode.honda.com and enter info from my previous post.

I need help, I have a 2008 Honda Accord... recently I changed the battery and when I tried to enter the code that came with car it said 'code error'. The problem is the serial number the radio is giving me does not match those on file for my VIN#. What can I do in this case?
i tri the honda site and i inter the ( vin & serial num ) it gives me more then 18 code i try first 5 numbers then the radio stuck on enter code screen >> please help me is this issue
On my 2013 Civic if the radio has not been removed from the vehicle i just press the power button for about two seconds and it recognizes itself and restores all previous settings.Hope this helps.
Don't know the code
Yep ... when error msg and audio locked ... remove poss battery terminal , reconnect , start motor enter code : radio works 07 civic, : code usually 5 digit on sticker somewhere in car box or manual ?
Note:. Holding numbered buttons and such will not work on Honda's older than 2000. You'll need to pull the radio and get serial number. Believe me, Honda didn't make it easy either! My '94 Del Sol has little to no room for maneuvering and pulling dash parts and screws. All to find that the serial number doesn't match the VIN on file. Really???!!!! A huuuuge hassle to be able to use an obsolete cassette player? Gimme a break! Honda can suck it!

1999 Honda Civic need code
just get it free from www.freehondaradiocodes.com
I have a 2011 Honda Civic that I have tried repeatedly to retrieve the serial number by turning the car to on, not starting the car, and pressing the 6 & 1 buttons and turning the radio on. All it ever says is enter code, and never gets out of that mode. I have tried hitting the enter (power) button twice, like I saw on one YouTube video, but nothing happens....Just turns the power of and on, and showing enter code. WTF
If you need the code for a Honda radio free, you can get these at www.freehondaradiocodes.com it is brilliant and only requires the serial number.
